So, what can you do to make sure you’re getting the best sleep possible? Here are our 5 Top Tips for Better Sleep!

  • Implement a pre-sleep routine

A pre-sleep routine can help relax your mind and body, setting you up for a great night’s sleep. Techniques can include a warm shower or bath, listening to relaxing music or guided meditation, breathing exercises and limiting screen time before sleep. Finding what combination works for you and consistently applying it will help you wind down at the end of a busy day, resulting in better quality sleep.

  • Have a regular sleep pattern

Try to go to bed and wake up at a similar time each day. A consistent sleep pattern will “train” you to fall asleep and wake up more easily.

  • Improve your sleep environment

Remove the television, telephone and any other devices from the bedroom. This reinforces the idea that this room is meant for sleeping. An ideal environment is quiet, dark, and relatively cool, with a comfortable bed and minimal clutter.

  • Limit caffeine late in the day
